TAGStention is een extensie voor Dreamweaver. Ik ben nooit een echte voorstander van Dreamweaver geweest maar deze plugin van Bas Wenneker maakt het wel heel makkelijk op een nieuw theme voor wordpress te maken. Tot nu toe maakte ik mijn themes nog in Notepad en verving dan systematisch de voorbeeldtekst met de wp_tags wat toch net iets omslachtiger was.

Verder is clean archive ook nog wel een toffe plugin van diezelfde makers.

Live part 2.0!
Kheb getekend en begin nu vast te werken.. Gedaan met 7 weken op vakantie gaan, gedaan met om 16 thuis te zijn. Maar dag in, dag uit vroeg opstaan om centjes te verdienen… Ik zie het enorm hard zitten. Here we go!!

Mijn stageproject draait nu toch al een week porbleemloos op Nancy. Nancy is onze nieuwe MS SQL 2005 Server. De hoofdreden waarom ik de database overgezet heb was om bepaalde Queries te kunnen uitvoeren. In SQL 2005 is het mogelijk om in bij SELECT TOP aantal het aantal te vervangen door een variabele, hierdoor is het niet al te moeilijk om de resultaten per pagina weer te geven. SQL 2005 is vergeleken met 2002 2000 een mooie verbetering al loopt nog steeds niet alles vlekkeloos, moest op de ene pc Visual Studio er eerst volledig af en op de andere pc Office 2007.

Vandaag na lange tijd weer even zonder ReSharper in Visual Studio gewerkt. Wat was dat? Precies of de helft van de Visual Studio functionaliteit was ineens verdwenen. Geen gekleurde meldingen bij fouten of vewijzigen, veel minder refactoringsmogelijkheden.

Voor diegene die het nog niet kennen ReSharper is zoals ze zelf zeggen “The Most Intelligent Add-In To Visual Studio“, een uitbreiding op Visual Studio dus. Een tool die het de programmeur een stuk aangenamer maakt om te werken, maar het vooral ook veel makkelijker maakt om te debuggen.

Het is zoiets als de airco in de auto, de afwasmachine in de keuken, het waterbed in de slaapkamer of meer van die dingen. Eens je het hebt, wil je niet meer zonder. Ik heb alvast de laatste nieuwe 2.5.1 versie maar snel terug geïnstalleerd.

Nu dat er dan toch nog een skivakantie op de agenda staat dit jaar heb ik maar weer eens een nieuwe template tevoorschijn gehaald.

Een minimalistische frisse witte layout met een banner waarvan ik me meteen ergens hier ver vandaan waan.

Last week Matt. introduced something new on the WordPress Blog. He asked the WordPress users, community, or whatever you want to call it to collaborate en think about the things you miss in WordPress so it can maybe be integrated in tte new releases.

If you could add anything in the world to WordPress, what would it be? If you could name the thing that frustrates you the most about WP, what would that be?

Here is my idea to keep poster up-to-date by sending them an email every time there is a new comment for an item they commented on.

From now on I’m a real Google Adept, they have a nice Reader to stay in touch with your rss-feeds, a good Calendar to organize your life (I still miss a way to synchronize with my Outlook calendar). Then they have their Docs & spreadsheets. A very handy way to work with more than one person on one doc or spreadsheet.

But the best part of google – in my opinion – is their Gmail. I made a gmail-account long ago (2004) but never really used it until a few weeks ago. After once again getting so much spam in my Telenet email, I decided to go it and use my gmail-account. So people, if you need me, you can find me at bramloquet-at-gmail.com.

Now that I have used Nucleus for about a year I’m coming back to where I’ve started. Not completely, the first blogsoftware I used was Pivot but after that, the first blogsoftware I used (using a DB) was WordPress. By now I don’t know why I switched to Nucleus a year ago but hey I’m back :) Tanks to a very nice Nucleus to WordPress converter.
